Some summer residents have been fighting wireworms for years, but this does not bring any results.
Others manage to overcome the pest in a short period of time.
As it turns out, it is most reasonable to start fighting after the potato harvest. First, remove any plant debris and don't forget about the weeds. Then add nutrients. Then you can choose any method you like to fight the pest.
What methods are worth considering?
Potassium chloride
Many summer residents note the high efficiency of this preparation: by spring there will be no trace of the wireworm. For each square meter of soil, take twenty grams of the product.
Dolomite flour
This will help normalize the acidity levels and will also be an excellent remedy against wireworms. You can take up to a kilogram of dolomite flour per square meter.
Ash
This method will not only drive away the wireworm, but will also have a positive effect on the garden in general. It is best to use a kilogram of ash per square meter.
Ammonium nitrate
This fertilizer can become a real poison for wireworms, so it can definitely be used. It will be enough to take only twenty grams of the preparation.
