In order to be able to harvest a decent crop of currants next year, the plant needs to be provided with proper care in the fall.
First of all, it is worth watering well.
Adult currants require up to 20 liters of liquid. After that, you can think about adding fertilizers.
What options are worth paying attention to?
Potassium monophosphate
This fertilizer can be applied in two ways. The product is used both for spraying and for watering. It is enough to take just one spoon of fertilizer (tablespoon) per ten liters of water.
If you water, you can use up to three liters of fertilizer per currant.
Superphosphate
In order for superphosphate to really have a significant effect on currants, it is worth carrying out special preparation. First of all, remove everything unnecessary from the currant trunk circle.
Afterwards, it is necessary to carry out the loosening procedure and make several depressions in the soil. Then we send superphosphate and sprinkle with earth. The depth is no more than ten centimeters.
Around one bush it is necessary to make four depressions. Then we pour three spoons of fertilizer on each plant.
