Slow ripening of tomatoes in a greenhouse is a fairly common problem.
We'll tell you why tomatoes ripen slowly and how to speed up the process.
How to speed up the ripening of tomatoes
One of the main reasons for slow ripening of tomatoes is the lack of difference between day and night temperatures.
It should be 5-8 degrees. But a sharp difference (more than 10-15 degrees) is also harmful to tomatoes.
The second common cause is potassium deficiency. It can be eliminated by adding potassium fertilizers (potassium sulfate, potassium monophosphate).
You can also speed up the ripening of tomatoes by trimming the leaves.
Tear off the lower leaves and the leaf under the brush, but no more than two or three leaves per week.
