Mistakes in caring for tomatoes can lead to the appearance of late blight and loss of yield.

We tell you how to get rid of late blight on tomatoes forever and what you shouldn’t do.

How to get rid of late blight

Late blight won't stand a chance if you don't make these 7 mistakes.

The first is insufficient ventilation of the greenhouse. It should have enough vents, they should be open at least 14-16 hours a day, in hot weather – always.

Secondly, you can't plant tomatoes in the same place. If you grow them in a greenhouse, change the soil.

The third mistake is pruning in rainy weather or before (after) watering (spraying). Prune only in dry weather and no watering or spraying, the wounds should dry out.

Too frequent watering can also cause late blight, as can pruning with undisinfected tools.

You also shouldn't water tomatoes in the evening or add untreated tomato tops to the compost.

You can get rid of late blight forever with the help of copper-containing preparations (no more than twice per season).

In addition, tying with copper wire helps well. You can also pierce the stems of tomatoes with it (from below).
