Soon hostas will probably grow on every summer cottage plot.

And all because the plant requires minimal care, grows without whims, and thanks to the variety of species allows you to create a unique design.

Place for planting hosta

Hosta does not make any special demands on the place of growth - it will actively grow and delight with lush greenery in any corner of the garden. The plant can be planted under trees, along paths or next to water bodies.

The flower will feel best in a semi-shaded area protected from the wind.

Soil requirements

Hosta doesn’t really care what kind of soil it is – acidic or alkaline, the main thing is that it is loose and nutritious.

When choosing a site for planting hosta, give preference to those where the soil retains moisture longer.

Landing algorithm

Prepare a wide planting hole for the hosta, at least 30 cm deep.

Since the hosta is a perennial, fertilizers consisting of compost soil, peat, sand and, if necessary, wood ash should be added to the planting hole. All this should be thoroughly mixed and watered generously, since the hosta loves moisture.

Now you can start planting. It is necessary to carefully straighten the roots of the plant and place the growth buds at ground level. After planting, water the flower again and mulch the soil around it.
