Due to the fact that pear leaves contain a lot of substances that have an antiseptic, strengthening and healing effect, this plant can be useful for other crops - especially for tomatoes, cucumbers and cabbage.
Important: leaves can be taken from a pear tree even when it is suffering from rust – this disease only increases the amount of useful acids and polyphenolic compounds.
To prepare the infusion, you will need to cut the twigs and leaves into a jar (about one liter) and compact them well.
After this, pour boiling water over the green mass – you will need about a liter of liquid or a little more.
The product must be infused for 24 hours – during this time it will cool down and become “saturated” with useful substances.
However, the infusion time can be safely increased to 2-3 days – the infusion may even become stale.
After this, strain the pear infusion, add an adhesive to it, which can be green or grated laundry soap, and pour it into a sprayer.
The product is suitable for spraying plants at any stage of development – even during fruiting. It is used as a preventive treatment against most pests and many diseases.
Earlier we talked about whether it is possible to pour beer on tomatoes.
