Petunia is one of the most beloved plants among our compatriots. This is not surprising, considering how beautiful this gift of nature is.
However, it often happens that soon after purchase the flower begins to dry out, and this happens much faster if the summer is hot.
There is an option to avoid the problem and make the plant bloom again. We are talking about pruning.
Experienced gardeners recommend cutting off the ends of shoots with seed pods.
In place of the cut shoots, new ones will appear, full of strength. So do not spare - cut along the edge of the pot, leaving only a modest bush.
After this procedure, do not water the flower and shade it from the sun for 24 hours.
After 2-3 days, you can treat the bush with a growth stimulant, say, boric acid.
After a week, we water and feed the roots with nitrogen fertilizer (20 grams of urea per 10 liters of water).
You can trim the flower two or three times per season.
