Late blight is a nightmare for many summer residents, as this disease can ruin all the efforts made during the cultivation of tomatoes.
To combat the disease, you can use chemicals - but if you can’t find them in a specialized store, try using folk methods.
Garlic Sprays
Experienced gardeners claim that regular spraying with garlic infusion prevents the occurrence of late blight. Probably, as a result of such manipulations, the spores of late blight die.
To prepare a garlic infusion, take 1.5 cups of crushed garlic and 10 liters of water. Leave the garlic to infuse in the water for a day, then strain and add a little potassium permanganate to get a light pink solution.
Treat the plants when the first ovaries appear, and then repeat the procedure every 10-14 days.
Spraying with kefir
The nature of this treatment is rather preventive - the tomatoes must be sprayed for the first time 10 days after planting them in a permanent place, and then the procedure must be repeated every 15 days, until the time comes to harvest.
To prepare a spray solution, you will need to pour a liter of kefir (low-fat) into a 10-liter bucket and fill the container to the top with water.
After this, add 20 drops of iodine, and after mixing, you can begin processing the tomatoes.
