As you know, to get a good harvest, you need to provide the plants with proper nutrition.

In this article, we will look at a farmer's feeding scheme for tomatoes, which will help you grow healthy and strong plants, as well as get an abundant and high-quality harvest.

The farmer's fertilization system is quite simple and includes only three main types of fertilizers.

1. The first type, thanks to the light hand of agronomists, was called “starter” and includes any fertilizers with the formula 13-40-13 and microelements.

With the help of these fertilizers, as the name suggests, tomatoes are given a start - those same 40% phosphorus will give the roots development, and microelements will only enhance the overall beneficial effect of the fertilizer.

Also important at this stage is boron, which is necessary for good fruit set.

Starter fertilizers are applied during the first 2-3 weeks.

2. Then follow fertilizers with the formula 18-18-18 and microelements, which ensure the general development of tomato bushes and their generative and vegetative parts.

3. The third type of fertilizer is a fertilizer with an approximate formula of 3-11-38 with microelements. Since the third stage is the last, it is not surprising that it is known as the "finishing" stage.

Finishing fertilizers should be alternated with calcium nitrate depending on the soil condition.

For, so to speak, ordinary summer residents, it is recommended to alternate these fertilizers with infusions of herbs, droppings or manure, as well as an ash extract, which is prepared from a glass of ash and 10 liters of water.
