Wood ash is useful for grapes, but certain rules for its use must be followed.
An expert of the online publication Belnovosti, agronomist, and landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh , told us how to use ash to feed grapes.
How to feed grapes with ash
Firstly, ash can be added during annual soil digging. 150-200 grams of fertilizer are needed per square meter of soil.
Secondly, you can simply sprinkle ash under the grapes and water it.
Thirdly, you can make a groove around the trunk of the grape and periodically fill it with ash.
You can also prepare an ash infusion for watering. Pour 2 liters of ash into 8 liters of water, leave for 24 hours, strain, dilute with water in a ratio of 1:10, and water.
