The yield of zucchini will increase significantly if you feed them with certain fertilizers when planting.

Anastasia Kovrizhnykh, an expert of the online publication Belnovosti, agronomist and landscape designer, tells us what to put in the hole when planting zucchini.

What fertilizers do zucchini need when planting?

A week before planting, you need to loosen the bed with a flat cutter, cutting down the weeds.

Next, we dig holes 35-40 cm deep and in diameter, fill them with a thick layer (20 cm) of fresh organic matter (manure, chopped grass or tops of early crops with chicken manure or sawdust, kitchen waste), sprinkle with compost and cover the bed with film.

If there is no compost, water the hole with an infusion of fermented grass or a solution of any EM preparation.

Additionally, you can add a tablespoon of superphosphate or a glass of ash to each hole.

After a week, fill the holes to the brim with a mixture of soil and humus, water them and plant the zucchini.
