Sometimes, when gardeners inspect the tomato seedlings they are growing, they discover that the leaves of the seedlings have begun to dry out.

According to the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, scientist-agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh , the reason may be hidden in the features inherent in this variety of tomatoes.

But if you are sure that this is not the case, then the root cause of the problem is the stress that the plants are experiencing.

The stress situation in which the leaves curl and dry out sometimes occurs due to dry air, when the humidity drops below 50%.

In this case, the leaves, starting from the edge, dry out and then curl up – this is how tomatoes try to reduce the area of moisture evaporation.

If the cause of stress is too high a temperature during cultivation, you will see the leaves curling up to form a tube-like shape.

Watering is also important for the condition of the seedlings - avoid excessive soil moisture, but try to avoid drought as well.

Finally, check how far the seedlings are from the lamp. It should be at least 25-40 cm.
