One of the plants that can often be found in our gardens and which many consider a weed is wormwood.

In addition to the fact that this plant can be used for medicinal purposes, it can also be useful in the garden and vegetable garden, says Anastasia Kovrizhnykh , an expert of the online publication BelNovosti, an agronomist and landscape designer.

The smell inherent to wormwood has insecticidal properties, meaning that the herb can be used as a weapon against pests.

So, you can lay out fresh wormwood stems 15-20 cm in size in places where vegetables grow. For example, wormwood effectively protects cabbage from cabbage white butterfly.

If the goal is to get rid of the codling moth, it is worth hanging bunches of wormwood directly on the trees during their flowering period.

You can also make a decoction from wormwood: dry stems and leaves of wormwood (1 kg) should be poured with water so that it barely covers the grass, and boiled over low heat for 10-15 minutes. Then strain the decoction and dilute it in 10 liters of water.

This product is suitable for spraying plants.

To enhance the effect, you can use wormwood extract. Add liquid soap and 40 ml of ammonia to the prepared decoction.

If you combine this mixture with chicken manure, no pest will resist, and the plants will receive additional nutrition.
