Whether strawberries will produce a large harvest depends, among other things, on the distance between the bushes.

Anastasia Kovrizhnykh , an expert of the online publication Belnovosti, agronomist and landscape designer, tells how to plant strawberries correctly.

How far apart to plant strawberries

With moderately compact bushes, the optimal distance between holes is 30-50 cm, between rows – 40 cm.

The distance may be greater; you need to take into account the size of the bushes and the foliage of a particular variety.

The optimal time for planting strawberries is evening, or at worst, a cloudy day.

A couple of hours before planting, the bushes must be soaked in a growth stimulator or at least moistened with water.

Earlier, the expert told what fertilizers currants need in the spring.
