Growing strong and healthy tomato seedlings is the first step towards a rich harvest of tasty and ripe tomatoes.

However, many gardeners, as noted by the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, scientist-agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh , complain that the seedlings are growing poorly.

In this case, it is recommended to feed it.

This can be done in a variety of ways, the most popular of which are using potassium nitrate, potassium magnesium sulfate, potassium monophosphate, potassium sulfate and potassium sulfide.

For example, if we talk about potassium monophosphate, it is usually diluted in proportions of 0.7-1 grams per 1 liter of water.

The resulting solution is used to water the seedlings. This feeding is repeated after 10-15 days.

Organic fertilizers are also often used, such as mullein and bird droppings, which contain all the elements required for seedlings, including nitrogen, potassium, magnesium, phosphorus, calcium, as well as manganese and others.

All of them contribute to the active growth of healthy plants, which, as we have already said, plays a decisive role for the future harvest.

Earlier, the expert explained when it is better to plant fruit tree seedlings – in spring or autumn.
