The quality of the grown seedlings depends on whether you choose the right time for sowing petunias for seedlings.
An expert of the online publication BelNovosti, agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh believes that it is too early to sow these flowers in February.
But if you sow the seeds, for example, on March 5, the shoots will appear in 4-5 days.
After 2 months (after the 20th of May), the seedlings will be well developed, the bushes will have many buds, and may even begin to bloom.
In a heated greenhouse, petunia seedlings will grow even faster - and as a result, you will get ready-made plants for landscaping flower beds.
The long-awaited flowering will occur in a short period of time.
Please note: if you notice that some petunia flowers have already faded while the bushes are still sitting in the seedling pot, this means that the plant has been in the seedling stage for too long.
As soon as the first pair of buds appears on the petunia, the plant should be planted in a flower bed as soon as possible.
Thus, the optimal time for sowing petunia seeds is 70-75 days before the planned date of planting the plants in the garden or flowerbed.
