First, about replanting. It is not worth doing this procedure every year, because the plant can exist without replanting for 3 years or more.
How to check if it's time? Pull it up by the tree's trunk. If you can easily extract the plant, you can look for a new container for it, but if the lemon and others are tightly seated in the pot, leave them alone.
A few words about watering: citrus fruits, like other plants, require frequent and abundant watering, but they do not tolerate excess moisture.
Watering should be done through the tray. To determine whether it is time to moisten the soil, all you need to do is lift the pot. If the soil is dry, it will be much lighter.
The substrate is of great importance for the successful growth and development of the tree; it should be, first of all, slightly acidic, and only then nutritious and loose (for this, experienced plant growers add siliceous earth or agroperlite to the pot).
To feed citrus fruits, use organic and mineral fertilizers, alternating them.
