Fresh and aromatic green onions not only saturate with vitamins, but also improve the taste of home-cooked dishes.
These greens can be safely added not only to salads, but also to omelettes or even hearty casseroles.
But to always have green onions on hand, it is best to learn how to grow them. The process is extremely simple.
How to grow green onions at home
First, you need to take a suitable container. Mix the substrate in it. To do this, take equal amounts of soil and sand.
It would not be a bad idea to heat the soil in the oven or pour boiling water over it to destroy any possible parasites.
It's easier to buy ready-made soil in the store.
If you bought the onion in a supermarket, you should soak it in hot water for half an hour beforehand. Remove the dry skin and preferably trim off the tops.
Next you can proceed to planting.
To do this, you need to water the substrate with warm water, and then place the bulbs not too deeply.
The container should be placed on the light side and a warm windowsill. The ideal temperature is about 25 degrees.
The plant only needs to be watered periodically.
