An expert of the online publication BelNovosti, agronomist, and landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh shared a selection of early varieties of tomatoes suitable for growing in open ground.
"The King of the Early"
The ripening period of this variety is only 100 days. The bushes of the "King of the Early" are spreading and can reach a height of up to 80 cm. To get the maximum harvest, it is recommended to tie up the bushes and remove the side shoots. Helpful hint: if you form the bush into one stem, the harvest will ripen faster. The fruits of the "King of the Early" can reach a weight of up to 200 grams. This variety is also resistant to various diseases.
"Yakut"
This early tomato variety begins to bear fruit already 3 months after the emergence of shoots. It belongs to the "Northerners" series and is intended for cultivation in regions with a colder climate. The "Yakuta" bush reaches a height of about 50 cm and does not require pinching. The fruits of this variety weigh from 100 to 150 grams.
"Dwarf"
A cherry tomato variety that attracts attention with its small fruits weighing up to 60 grams. "Gnome" ripens 100-110 days after emergence, its bushes are compact and do not exceed 50 cm in height. This variety is great for canning, as its fruits have a dense skin and are small in size.
"Olya F1"
A tomato hybrid that has stood the test of time. It has a ripening period of 90 days, bears fruit in clusters and has fruits weighing from 100 to 180 grams. "Olya F1" is also distinguished by its good keeping quality.
"Slivka the Giant"
One of the most famous and popular soil varieties of tomatoes. The fruits ripen 110 days after sowing the seeds. The bushes of "Cream of the Giant" reach a height of about a meter and require support. The fruits of this variety can reach a weight of up to 150 grams.
