Sedge, or round sedge, is an extremely persistent weed that causes a lot of trouble for owners of country plots.

However, summer residents do not give up and regularly try to do without “chemicals”, using the most common sugar to eliminate the problem.
If you, like them, would like to test the effectiveness of this method, you should start the “experiment” in the spring, at the beginning of the growing season, when the sedge is just beginning to germinate and sprout.
First, water the lawn with a hose.
After that, take a package of the most common granulated sugar and sprinkle it evenly over the lawn. The easiest way to do this is with a sieve.
After this, water the lawn again, but lightly, not too much, so as not to wash away the sugar, but to help it penetrate into the soil to the roots.
The procedure will have to be repeated at least twice.
