If the orchid leaves have begun to wither, you have not seen buds on the plant for a long time, and the flower’s growth has stopped altogether, most likely your “green pet” needs feeding.
An expert of the online publication BelNovosti, agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh said that in order to restore the vitality of phalaenopsis, flower growers often resort to a remedy created by their own hands.
Its base consists of potato peelings, but this is not the usual decoction for many plant growers.
You can also make dry fertilizer from potato peels. This is done as follows.
First, wash the tubers thoroughly to remove dirt, then dry them.
Peel the potatoes and place them on a baking sheet.
Preheat the oven to 100°C and place the potato peelings in there for 3.5 hours to dry.
Once the potato peelings have cooled completely, place them in a blender and grind them into a powder.
Add the resulting fertilizer to your orchid's soil.
If any powder remains unused, it can be stored in tightly sealed cloth bags and left in a dry place.
