Whether pepper seedlings will sprout quickly depends not only on the quality of the seed material and soil, but also on the planting method.
Anastasia Kovrizhnykh, an expert of the online publication Belnovosti, agronomist and landscape designer, tells us how to speed up the germination of pepper seeds.
How to speed up the germination of peppers
A special watering method will help with this. We plant the seeds directly into cups. Each one will require a bag, a plastic bottle cap, a wick made from a piece of cotton rope and a couple of cups.
In one we make a hole for the wick, and the other will act as a flowerpot into which water will flow.
We tie the bag with a rope, leaving pieces of the same length, and thread the wick through a glass with a hole so that the bag ends up at the bottom of the glass.
We leave the second piece of the bag inside the glass. Then we need to pull it out and fill it with soil.
Place a lid on the bottom of the second glass, pour in water and put the glass with pepper. The mechanism is ready. As soon as the water runs out, immediately add more.
