In winter, wilting indoor plants are a common sight. Flowers do not wilt due to lack of care.
Plants lack sunlight, they suffer from dry air, and there is a constant cold draft from the windows, or even a downright draught.
Anastasia Kovrizhnykh , an expert of the online publication "BelNovosti", an agronomist and landscape designer, told how to support flowers in these difficult times.
To bring plants back to life in an emergency, you can use improvised means from your home medicine cabinet.
So, if the flowers are wilting, growing poorly, the leaves are turning pale or falling off, it’s time to add activated carbon fertilizer.
They say that the product makes plants resistant to winter tests due to the fact that the tablets remove harmful substances from the soil and normalize the acidity level.
How to proceed
For one flowerpot you need to take two tablets of activated carbon.
They need to be crushed into powder and evenly scattered over the soil, then water the plant. For a large flowerpot, you can take 4 tablets.
With the same success, you can use a watering solution, for which the powder from one tablet must be dissolved in 0.5 liters of water at room temperature.
Mix the solution and water wilting or poorly growing flowers.
