Watering
Many people unfairly believe that berry crops do not need additional watering: supposedly currants receive all the necessary amount of moisture naturally.

Forget about feeding
Currants, of course, can try to extract nutrients from the soil, but they will run out. Therefore, there will be fewer and fewer berries.
Don't forget to periodically "treat" the crop with fertilizers.
Planting in the shade
It is not worth growing currants in places where lighting is limited. This is not a suitable condition for the correct development of the crop.
