It is believed that there is nothing better for landscaping the area near the fence than coniferous plants, because they do not lose their decorative properties throughout the year and successfully cover up unsightly places.

However, the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh is convinced: you will create an even more attractive composition if you use deciduous trees and shrubs together with conifers.

The result is a mixborder that looks very organic in a summer cottage.

When planting plants, you should follow a few simple rules.

1. Place “large-sized” plants right next to the fence – spruce, pine, thuja, fir, etc. Due to the fact that they will completely mask the fence, you will be able to achieve the feeling of being in a forest.

2. Among the flowering shrubs that will cope with the task with flying colors, we can name such as spirea, hydrangea, dogwood, jasmine, bladder senna, etc.

3. Let's talk about what flora representatives can be placed along the front edge. The list includes hostas, weigela, delphinium, pampas grass, heuchera, etc.

4. To cover the trunks of trees and shrubs, you can “call for help” rudbeckia, lupine, daylilies, aconite, alliums, peonies, etc.

5. So, to make the mixborder look attractive, choose plants for it that have different colors and textures, or those whose height difference is about a third.

Earlier we talked about flowers that bring wealth and luck.
