An expert of the online publication "BelNovosti", agronomist and landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh told how to prepare fertilizer for orchids.
They say that the fertilizer works wonders and makes the capricious plant bloom almost all year round.
What you will need
In addition to boiling water, you need rice and onion peel, which can be found in any housewife’s kitchen.
It is known that rice contains carbohydrates, amino acids, a lot of vitamins and minerals.
Onion peels contain antiseptic and antifungal substances. Fertilizers based on them have a beneficial effect on the growth and flowering of plants.
How to make fertilizer
Take 0.5 liters of warm water and add 2 tablespoons of rice. After 30 minutes, strain – you only need water.
At the same time, soak a handful of onion peels in 1 liter of boiling water and let it sit under the lid until the water cools down.
Then strain and add rice water to the onion infusion.
The solution is used for watering or treating leaves. The fertilizer is stored in the refrigerator for 2 weeks.
