It turns out that the onset of autumn is not a necessary condition for enjoying mushrooms, because you can grow oyster mushrooms at home.

The main thing is to purchase mushroom substrate (mycelium) from a reliable manufacturer, and the rest can probably be found at home.

So, to create a mini version of a mushroom farm, you will need a plastic bottle with a capacity of 5-6 liters, which must be cut into two unequal parts: the height of the lower one should be about a third of the entire bottle, and the upper one - about two thirds.

In the upper part, you need to make several vertical cuts, after which it can be put back on the lower one.

Using a hot soldering iron (hot nail, knitting needle, etc.), make several 2-centimeter holes so that you get 3-4 circles in height.

Now pack the straw tightly into a thick-walled aluminum pan, fill it with rainwater and boil for about 30 minutes, then wait until the water cools down and transfer the wet straw to the top of our structure, approximately up to the first hole.

A little mycelium should be poured onto the straw, followed by another layer of straw. Repeat the previous steps, tamping the straw tightly until the container is filled to the top.

You need to do the same with the bottom of the bottle, and then you need to assemble the structure. To prevent it from falling apart, use tape.

Place the mushroom farm in a warm place, out of direct sunlight, and spray it with a spray bottle several times a day.

In about a week, the straw will become moldy, and if you spray it daily, you will be able to harvest mushrooms in 3 weeks.
