How and where to put a greenhouse so that it won't be blown away by the wind: and there will be no need to repair anything

No matter how reliable a greenhouse installed on a site may seem, there is always a chance that it will be damaged by a strong wind.

An expert of the online publication BelNovosti, agronomist, and landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh shared tricks that experienced summer residents resort to so that after another hurricane they don’t have to put up new greenhouses or repair what’s left.

Perhaps the best place to install a greenhouse is a site located a short distance from buildings or trees.

All these structures will serve as a barrier to strong gusts of wind.

Alternatively, you can first install the foundation and only then put up the greenhouse.

In this case, the frame will be well secured, and even a strong wind will not be able to move it from the site.

If you don’t want to mess around with the foundation, you can install the greenhouse directly on the ground, slightly deepening the frame and polycarbonate into the ditches and covering them with earth on top.

Sometimes this is enough to ensure that the structure remains in good condition for many years.
