If your orchid is not blooming well, you may not be caring for it properly.
Anastasia Kovrizhnykh , an expert of the online publication Belnovosti, agronomist and landscape designer, talks about the main mistakes in caring for this flower that prevent it from blooming.
What not to do with an orchid
Firstly, the orchid should not be placed in the shade, it is a light-loving plant. And in general, you should not move the flower from place to place.
Secondly, you can't water the orchid at the root. The best way to water it is a warm shower about once a week.
The third mistake is unsuitable soil. The orchid is an epiphyte, it does not need soil.
Use coarse bark to give the plant something to root into.
Fourthly, problems with flowering may be due to the wrong selection of fertilizer.
Don't experiment, buy a complex fertilizer for orchids.
Also, you shouldn't stress the orchid to make it bloom, for example, stop watering. Such methods will only worsen the condition of the plant.
