If you want to grow mint right on your windowsill, we have good news for you – it’s not difficult at all.
The intricacies of the process were shared by the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, scientist-agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh .
First of all, you should get the desired bush - you can dig it up from your plot, or you can buy a plant in a container.
Be sure to transplant the mint into a pot, which should be ceramic - in such conditions the plant will be protected from the soil drying out, and it will not be afraid of the cold coming from the windows.
There are some requirements for the soil for mint. It will be better if you use loose and fertile soil, for which you should add organic matter to it.
After planting, it is recommended to water using a growth stimulator.
Despite the fact that many varieties of mint are not afraid of shade, from November to February they should be supplemented with light. If you do not have a phytolamp, use the drug "Energy of the Sun", which should be used every two weeks.
A few words about temperature – 20-25 degrees are considered optimal for mint.
And it is impossible not to say a word about such an important procedure as watering - the soil in the pot with mint should be moistened moderately.
