How to protect potatoes from pests and diseases
Firstly, onions and garlic help protect potatoes from the Colorado potato beetle and prevent the appearance of late blight.
They can be planted either near the potato bed or directly between the rows or between the bushes.
The second option is joint planting with beans. It disinfects the soil and enriches it with nitrogen.
And it protects potatoes not only from the Colorado potato beetle, but also from wireworms.
