A poor layout or an apartment on the lower floors in a densely built-up area can result in a lack of sunlight.

In such conditions, growing indoor plants and flowers is not very interesting. You will have to install additional lighting devices and illuminate the plantings.

Anastasia Kovrizhnykh , an expert of the online publication "BelNovosti", an agronomist and landscape designer, told us which flowers grow wonderfully in the semi-darkness.

Sansevieria

The plant looks picturesque, has rich greenery, but it almost does not need sunlight.

Thanks to its long and bright leaves, the plant has become popular in interior design.

Ficus elastica

Despite its tropical origins, the plant easily tolerates shade. If placed in bright sunlight, burns may occur.
It is undemanding, but you need to follow a watering schedule.

Dracaena

In this case, bright sunlight is not needed at all. The main thing is to water on time and maintain air humidity.

Monstera

It grows in the shade just as well as others. You need to monitor the air humidity, water with settled water, and spray the leaves.

In addition, ivy, syngonium, tradescantia can be grown in the shade, and from flowering plants you can choose begonia, fuchsia or violet.
