For this you will need the most common synthetic padding. By the way, it is not necessary to buy it at all, because you can take the filler out of an old, worn-out jacket.
A strip of synthetic padding, at least 5 cm wide, should be wrapped around the tree, tied to the trunk with a rope.
However, that’s not all – to prevent the ants from overcoming the obstacle, be sure to fluff up the synthetic padding.
It is worth repeating the last step – fluffing – regularly, since even in such material harmful insects manage to make paths for themselves.
However, this small disadvantage can be smoothed out by the fact that such a belt made of synthetic padding will protect plantings not only from ants, but also from other pests.
