Many gardeners prefer to use organic fertilizers for obvious reasons.

It is especially important to apply them in the autumn to restore soil fertility.

Organic fertilizers not only saturate the soil with nutrients, but also improve its structure.

Let's see what application rates are recommended by the expert of the online publication "Belnovosti" and agronomist Anastasia Kovrizhnykh.

How much fertilizer should be put on the beds?

In fact, the consumption depends on the maturity of the fertilizer, for example, the recommended rate of fresh manure is 5-6 kg per square meter.

But if we are talking about mature manure, then it is enough to add 2-3 kg per square meter.

To improve sandy soil, less organic fertilizer is usually added than for loamy soil - for sandy soil, 2-3 kg per meter is added, and for the second option, 6-8 kg is needed.

Summer residents most often use manure, compost, leaf humus, peat and fermented sawdust.
