For this reason, hydrangeas show such a reaction to soil acidification: they begin to grow actively, bloom profusely and, in general, look beautiful and healthy.
Moreover, large-leaved hydrangea can change the color of its inflorescences when the soil becomes acidic.
Most often, to achieve this effect, flower growers resort to citric acid.
To prepare the solution, one and a half spoons of lemon juice is enough, which is recommended to first be diluted in a small amount of water and only then poured into a bucket.
Although this method is quite effective, it is far from the only one.
The most ordinary kefir or whey shows no less effectiveness.
If you decide to evaluate the effect of fermented milk products on plants from your own garden, remember: you should “treat” hydrangeas no more than once a month.
