Slugs that feed on plants can cause significant damage to them, destroying the leaves, flowers and fruits of crops planted on the site.
Moreover, gastropods can easily carry various diseases and infections, which still have a detrimental effect on the plantings in your garden and vegetable garden.
Usually, experienced gardeners use the following methods to combat slugs.
1. Traps. Traps are made from plastic containers with a lid, holding the latter with matches or skewers.
Place a piece of fruit or vegetable in the container and place it in a place where slugs often appear. The pests will be attracted by the smell and will be trapped.
2. Cabbage leaf. Place a large cabbage leaf on the ground, where the slugs will gather overnight. As in the previous option, all that remains for you is to destroy the parasites in the morning.
3. Salt. Sprinkle salt in the area where the pests have been spotted. The salt will do all the work for you, killing the slugs.
4. Honey. Mix honey and water in a 1:1 ratio. Use the mixture as a trap filling.
