Any gardener whose plot is decorated with magnificent rose bushes should be aware not only of the rules of care, but also of the diseases that can attack these wonderful plants.
An expert of the online publication BelNovosti, agronomist, and landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh spoke about the most common ones – black and brown spot – and methods of treating them.
Black spot of roses
If you notice signs of black spot on your favorite rose bushes, you should immediately begin removing the affected leaves.
Throw the torn leaves into the fire and treat the plant with a 1% solution of Bordeaux mixture.
If you can't get this remedy, use a drug called "Topaz".
Brown spot of roses
The plan of action is similar to those described in the previous version of the disease.
To treat flowers, a mixture of Topaz and Skor will come in handy. Don't forget: the soil under the bushes also needs to be treated. To do this, use a solution of Fitosporin, prepared according to the instructions.
