In the afternoon, give the necessary fertilizer to potatoes and tomatoes: advice from a gardener

Let's talk about a popular and inexpensive fertilizer - calcium nitrate, as well as calcium fertilizers in general.

Calcium nitrate is suitable for all nightshades, including potatoes and tomatoes.

Avoid adding too much nitrogen.

If you use chalk well water for irrigation or use dolomite flour as a fertilizer, it is important to consider adding calcium. Ash is not recommended for use on alkaline soil.

If potatoes are grown in the same bed year after year, then such soil will not have enough calcium.

Dilute two tablespoons of "Borofoska" in a liter of warm water and pour into 10 liters of water. Use half a liter per plant.

You can also make superphosphate for feeding – mix phosphorus, nitrogen, potassium, magnesium, calcium and sulfur.

Another option is the following solution: 30 grams of calcium nitrate, half a teaspoon of magnesium sulfate.

All this is diluted in ten liters. The fertilizer is enough for fifty potato plantings or a hundred tomatoes.
