If you want to create the flower bed of your dreams, it is not enough to consider only the color combination of the plant buds.
First of all, the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh advises paying attention to whether the selected plants are good neighbors.
The thing is that some flowers are not capable of peaceful coexistence.
We are talking primarily about plants with stolons.
This means that the flowers have an elongated lateral shoot with an elongated internode, axillary buds and underdeveloped leaves. Its purpose is vegetative propagation.
In different plants, stolons can form both underground and above the surface.
Which plants have those stolons? First of all, these are the Indian cinquefoil and the medicinal comfrey. Another bright representative of this group is the potato, although it is unlikely to be found in a flowerbed.
The listed plants should be planted at least 15-20 cm apart.
