In order for the tomato harvest, as well as any other crop, to be truly impressive, the plants must be provided with a sufficient amount of nutrients.
This can be done with the help of simple fertilizers that are available to every summer resident.
We are talking about a mineral fertilizer popular among experienced plant growers called Epsom salt.
The fertilizer, which has the appearance of a colorless crystal, contains magnesium and sulfur.
Magnesium is one of the main microelements, without which the existence of plants is impossible. It takes part in photosynthesis, and therefore serves as a necessary link in the process of converting sunlight into energy, which plants need for growth and development, and this is only a small part of the benefits that magnesium brings to crops.
Sulfur, in turn, is needed to ensure the quality growth of tomatoes and improve their taste. In the long term, this means that the fruits will be juicy and aromatic.
1 or 2 tablespoons of Epsom salt is added to the hole before planting the seedlings.
After 3-4 weeks, it is worth adding another 2 tablespoons under the bushes.
