To help blackcurrants ripen better, you can add fertilizer, which is good for increasing yield.
The first option is compost or humus – they belong to the category of organic fertilizers.
Humus contains a large amount of nutrients that are consumed by plants during the growth process.
Add compost around the currant bushes at a rate of 2-3 kg per square meter.
The second option is potassium fertilizers. They promote faster ripening of fruits. Add potassium sulfate in the amount of 20-30 g per bush or potassium magnesium sulfate in the amount of 30-40 g per bush.
The third method is phosphorus fertilizers, which also contribute to the ripening of berries. You can add superphosphate, phosphate flour or bone meal.
The fourth option is mineral fertilizers. A good alternative is a complex option, for example, nitroammophoska.
You can also mix organic and mineral fertilizers to further speed up the ripening of the fruit.
