Experienced gardeners always feed raspberries during flowering and berry growth, even if they applied all the necessary fertilizers in the spring.
This period is the most important in the life of raspberries, because the growth and ripening of berries requires a lot of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, as well as other microelements.
Here are the additives that farmers recommend adding at this time.
1. Mineral fertilizers. The easiest way is to apply nitroammophoska, which contains nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium in equal proportions.
The additive is applied at a rate of 30 g per 1 linear meter or diluted in the same amount per bucket of water and used for watering the same area at an interval of once every 10 days.
2. Also, summer residents are advised to apply such preparations as “Universal Ovary” (stimulates fruit formation), “Bud” (stimulates flowering and fruit formation) or similar ones.
3. Organics. Raspberries respond well to wood ash, but it is better not to use mullein and bird droppings at this time.
Nettle infusions are also suitable for feeding.
To prepare it, the plants are crushed and infused in water for 5-7 days, and when ready, they are diluted with clean water 1:10.
Add 1 glass of ash, mix and water every 10-14 days from the moment of budding.
