Everything has long been known about the diseases and pests of this crop. But not everyone knows how to increase the harvest.

There is one clever way. To do this, you will need to plant some crops between the rows of potatoes, and then the harvest will be gigantic.

Leafy greens

You can safely plant lettuce and basil, spinach, mint and coriander, as well as leaf mustard.

Horseradish

They say that it improves the taste of potatoes, and diseases become less scary.

Beans

An example of mutually beneficial neighborhood. The yield of both crops increases, and there are fewer pests.

Corn

It is better to sow along the perimeter so that the corn does not shade the potatoes later. It also improves the taste of the tubers.

Onions and garlic

These plants secrete special substances – phytonicides, thereby repelling pests and reducing the risk of infection with late blight.

If the distance between rows allows (from 70 cm), then you can even plant cabbage. Another neutral vegetable is beetroot.

In addition, you can sow marigolds and calendula, nasturtium and alyssum.
