In the summer, tomatoes especially need protection from diseases and pests.
We must not forget about fertilizers that will ensure the formation of strong ovaries and fruits, and make the bushes healthier and more resilient.
An expert of the online publication BelNovosti, agronomist and landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh told how to treat tomatoes in June.
Urea
June feeding provides the plant with nutrients that participate in the growth of vegetative mass: strong buds are formed, and in the long term - tasty fruits.
In June, tomatoes are sprayed with a urea solution - 50-60 g of the product per 10 liters of water.
After the ovaries appear
During this period, the emphasis is on phosphorus-potassium fertilizers. The expert advises preparing the fertilizer according to the following recipe: 10 g of superphosphate and 7-10 g of potassium sulfate per 10 liters of water.
Valuable microelement
Copper deficiency is often the cause of plant disease. Copper sulfate is especially effective when the leaves begin to curl.
But it is worth considering that copper sulfate is a rather pungent substance, which at high concentrations can harm the vegetative mass. Therefore, 0.1-0.2% solutions are used for spraying - 1-2 g per 1 liter of water.
