An expert of the online publication BelNovosti, agronomist and landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh told us what nuances to pay attention to.
1. Improper soil preparation: Conifers require fertile and well-drained soil. If the soil does not meet these requirements, the tree may grow poorly and even die.
2. Insufficient planting depth: Conifers should be planted at a depth that exceeds their root system. If the root is in too close contact with the soil, it can freeze in winter or rot in hot weather.
3. Planting too high: Conifers may not grow well if they are planted too high. This may be due to improper planting or poor site selection.
4. Coniferous trees need good light to grow. If they are in the shade, they may not grow properly or even die.
5. Wrong planting time: Some conifers need to be planted in spring or autumn so that they can adapt to local conditions. If they are planted at the wrong time, they may die or grow poorly.
