Gardeners of all ages often use dahlias to decorate their plots.
If you are one of them or are just thinking about planting these plants with a truly royal bearing, you will certainly find the advice on growing dahlias useful, says Anastasia Kovrizhnykh , an expert of the online publication BelNovosti, an agronomist and landscape designer.
Below you will find a detailed recipe for feeding that will ensure lush and long flowering of dahlias.
1. Prepare a solution of 1 part mullein, 1 part bird droppings, 2 parts water and boil for 30 minutes. Then let it cool and dilute with water in a ratio of 1:10.
2. Pour the resulting solution into a bucket and add 2 tablespoons of superphosphate and 1 tablespoon of potassium sulfate. Mix well.
3. Water the dahlias with this solution 2-3 times a week.
You can also use special fertilizers for dahlias, which are sold in stores. They contain all the necessary nutrients for lush and long-lasting flowering.
Also remember to water your dahlias regularly and keep the soil moist enough.
