An expert of the online publication BelNovosti, agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh shared advice on what to do to defeat the parasite.
Methods of combating raspberry aphids
1. Using natural remedies such as garlic, onion, pepper, mint, basil or cinnamon.
2. Use of chemicals, for example, insecticides "Aktara", "Aktellik", "Fitoverm" or "Intavir".
3. Using biological methods – attracting natural enemies of aphids, including ladybugs, birds or ants.
4. Regularly remove weeds and plant debris that can serve as a refuge for aphids.
5. Watering plants with warm water to reduce stress and improve plant immunity.
6. Regular inspection of plants for signs of infection and timely removal of affected parts.
