Aphids like to overwinter on plants, and pest control in the garden can begin in early spring, when the buds on the plants have not yet blossomed.
If you do not fight aphids in a timely manner, they can become a real problem. Small insects feed on plant juices, which can lead to their drying out and even death.
However, even from such a deplorable situation there is a way out, and you just need to use one of the methods of combating aphids.
Boiling water for aphids
In early spring, when the buds have not yet swollen, to protect currant bushes from aphid infestation, you can pour boiling water over them.
There is no need to worry that this method can harm the currants – it works effectively.
Celandine for aphids
May-June are the months of active spread of aphids on the site. At this time, there is active growth of green mass and vegetation of plants, and all this attracts pests.
Aphids settle on plant leaves and begin to suck the juices out of them. To prevent this, use one free and effective remedy against aphids – celandine solution.
How does this work
It is advisable to pull out the celandine with the roots, where there are most strong substances, then chop it finely and fill the bucket ½ full. And now you can pour 5 liters of boiling water over the grass.
The cooled solution must be filtered and the volume of liquid brought up to 10 liters.
Pour the prepared product into a sprayer, add a little liquid soap, and you can treat all the crops in the garden: trees, bushes, vegetable plantings.
Although aphids are a dangerous pest in the garden, there is always a way to deal with them.
