Radishes are an incredibly popular garden crop.

A tasty root vegetable, the surface of which has a beautiful pinkish hue, is widely used in cooking.

Thus, radishes often become one of the ingredients in vegetable salads.

Unfortunately, growing this crop does not always end successfully.

Quite often, summer residents who expected to harvest large and juicy radishes are forced to make do with small and not the most appetizing root vegetables.

To avoid getting into the same situation, you need to follow several recommendations.

Seed quality

The selected seed material must be of high quality.

It is not worth using old and dry seeds: not many shoots will appear, the number of root crops will be small, and their taste will not be the best.

Correct fit

Before sowing, the soil cover should be processed. This involves two procedures - loosening and watering with a moderately high temperature liquid.

Each seed should be at a depth of one centimeter. The distance between them should be at least two centimeters.

You should not overdo it with water either before planting or during the plant's development. Excessive watering can cause deformation of root crops.

Top dressing

The plant needs a nitrogen component. After the first leaf blades appear, a urea solution will be very useful.

After the onset of the phase of active formation of that part of the garden crop that is located underground, the radish will be helped by a liquid prepared on the basis of unburned wood residues.
