What is special about these plants?
All legumes can be classified as "nitrogen-fixing". Their peculiarity is that they consume nitrogen from the air.
This macronutrient is fixed in the roots, which subsequently become a natural fertilizer for the soil.
When the plants reach a certain stage of development, they are mowed. The nitrogen remains in the soil and then goes to tomatoes, cucumbers, cabbage and other crops that the gardener decides to plant.
What to plant on the plot
There are several plants that will enrich the soil with nitrogen. Mineral fertilizers will not be needed if you plant:
